Our Dental Office is In-Network with United Concordia in Long Island City, NY
Our dentists at 1311 Jackson Ave Dental in Long Island City, NY are in-network with United Concordia PPO dental insurance. Yes, we are accepting new patients with this insurance.
However, aside from the PPO plans, United Concordia also has other tiers of dental insurance, some of which we accept while others we do not.

We Accept United Concordia PPO but not the Managed Plans
Our dental office is able to work with any of the PPO plans from United Concordia and there are a LOT of them. They actually do not list if it is a PPO or not so you may have to ask your HR.

What it means to have the PPO plan: All United Concordia PPO plans typically cover most of the necessary dental procedures such as dental checkups, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, and etc.
-
They may or may not have an associated copay!
-
However, elective procedures such as teeth whitening and veneers are often not covered.
-
If you see "PPO" listed anywhere on your plan, you should be covered with our office!
We do not accept the Managed plans (DHMO)
United Concordia offers a “managed” plan called DHMO (Dental Health Maintenance Organization) which our dentists are out of network with but more importantly, we’re unable to accept.

Why we can’t accept it: Managed plans typically assign you to a specific dental office/provider. That means you do not get to choose who you wish to see.
-
Your visit will NOT be reimbursed if you see a dentist other than your assigned one.
-
Therefore, if you get your dental checkup with us, none of your visit will be covered. You will be responsible for the cost 100% out of your own pocket.
