There are only two dedicated LIC blogs on the internet with the rest of the information coming from news sources. A couple of businesses in the area have dedicated a handful of pages towards LIC content but we believe that this space is still under served. With the amount of residents in this neighborhood, we expected that there would've been more coverage about the events in the community. We believe that Long Island City deserves one more to the list of LIC blogs.
Therefore, we will be allocating a portion of our resources towards blogging about LIC. Yes, this will be a LIC blog by a LIC dentist. Who would've thought that huh? With that said, our blog will still be predominantly about dentistry and maybe 5% or so towards the Long Island City community. We'll write about it if we feel that we have something useful to add!
After all, this IS our community and we at 1311 Jackson Ave Dental were born with the purpose of serving the Long Island City community, whether that be through dentistry or other means. So don't be too surprised if you see some articles popping up here and there about LIC from this dentist in long island city.
If you haven't had time to check out the MoMA PS1 yet, you definitely should make some time to go. There is a lot of artwork housed over multiple floors. They also have a large courtyard where they host events and live music. Definitely one of the main attractions in the neighborhood. We definitely recommend to all of our patients to check it out since it is literally two blocks away from our office.
List of LIC blogs
This post was meant to serve as an official announcement but before we forget, here is a list of the two dedicated LIC blogs, which you should check out and support!
It seems like lictalk is still somewhat consistently posting approximately once a week but the court square blog hasn't made a post since December of 2020. Hopefully blogging isn't a dying art since there are still tons of artists in LIC. In fact, there is an entire website and organization dedicated to lic artists. Well, we do hope that the court square blog comes back to life sometime soon or we'll be down to just one posting about this neighborhood...
Well that's it for today, thank you everyone from your long island city dentist!
