Dentures are false teeth. They are used to replace all of your missing teeth or just some of them. When you replace all of them they are called complete dentures and when you replace some of them they are called partial dentures.

Dentures are typically made from acrylic. You may choose the color of the teeth as well. Dentures take approximately 5 visits to make. Just like how custom suits and wedding dresses require multiple fittings, so does your personalized dentures.

What are Dentures?

Our dentists at 1311 Jackson Ave Dental would like to remind everyone that dentures are not a replacement for teeth. Dentures are a replacement for no teeth. Please be very aware of that distinction. If you would like a replacement for teeth then please consider either tooth bridges or dental implants.

Individuals who end up like the above do not arrive there overnight. It is an accumulation of  "decisions" to not replace teeth over many years.

Also notice how the teeth start to flare and drift all over the place once you start missing teeth. How else would you get a tooth to be so sideways?

What if I don't want to replace any teeth?

If you start lose a tooth and don't replace it. You may get by for awhile but it sets a precedent for every dental emergency that comes afterwards. You may decide to not replace the second, the third, and so on. Eventually you end up at this stage.

What do you offer?

We do make full dentures and partial dentures at our office. We do not make them on the premise since we partner with multiple dental labs. The reason why we do not make them on premise is that the equipment take up a lot of space and it detracts from the patient experience. Our focus is on you.

All you have to do is inquire! We're more than happy to help you, all you have to do is come in for a consultation. We're conveniently located in long island city very close to the MoMa Ps1.
